Seeking position as part time tutor in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (flexible maximum of five hours per week) at $15 per hour.

Qualifications: I hold my Bachelor's of Arts in history from Shippensburg University and graduated with a 3.924 cumulative GPA and a perfect 4.0 in my history courses, am currently a Master's student at the University of Pittsburgh specializing in American history, hold a Teaching Assistantship from the University of Pittsburgh, am a graduate of Mises University 2008 and 2009, have published three articles in academic student journals--two of which won Editor's Choice, and have presented several papers at scholarly conferences among which a few have won awards. I have led various student organizations including Socrates Cafe, a philosophy discussion group focusing on free and open debate using the Socratic Method.

Description of Services: I am available to help students in practically whatever capacity they desire in any undergraduate history courses (though my research focuses on American history, I am trained in world history and regional history as well). I can drill in factual knowledge, discuss analytical topics including (but not limited to) historical methodology, historical movements, human action, intellectual history, social history, economic history, political history, and can heavily assist in writing of all types.

Schedule: I will be available starting August 1, but as my Fall 2010 course schedule has yet to be determined, potential clients are welcome to contact me, discuss the position with me further, and work out a schedule at a later date.
